NEWSWEEK LIED, MAJOR MEDIA DIED
My apologies for my origonal headline which was NEWSWEEK LIED, PEOPLE DIED. I did not know that Michelle Malkin had already headlined this and I apologize to her. Here is her article Michelle Malkin: NEWSWEEK LIED*. PEOPLE DIED.
The recent article in newsweek concerning a false story about abuse at Guantanamo base started riots all over the world. 16 deaths so far and probably many more to come!!
This isn't just sloppy reporting, it is criminal. The colonel on Fox news is right: Anybody associated with this article should be tried for, at least, murder, or at worst treason. The Arabs are already anti-american. We do not need the fans to be flamed.
The first amendment did not intend to allow sloppy and biased reporting to be protected.
I truly believe this is the end of the beginning of the downward spiral of the major news media. We wish it a quick demise...

NEWSWEEK article caused deaths
There is no doubt that irresponsible reporting from NEWSWEEK is responsible for much death and suffering in Arab world. Even if the allegations of abuse of the Quran at Gitmo turns out to be true, that does not take the deaths off NEWSWEEK heads....
Will NEWSEEK take responsibility. I doubt it. Walter Kronkite has never been held responsible for the death of 3,000,000 cambodians. CBS has yet to take responsibility for Memo-gate, and now thier latest mistake concerning Judge Starr by Gloria Borger.

Update: It appears that NEWSEEK is owning up to it's error. (HT instapundit) Now that is refreshing. Is it possible that this may trigger a stroke of concience in the Main Stream Media, and make them think twice before publishing volatile information before checking for accuracy?? I hope so but I don't have a lot of faith that this will happen.
