McCAIN, POWELL HAVE KISSED PRESIDENTIAL CHANCES GOODBYE

You heard it here first.

Yesterday, in a stunning and an amazingly stupid fashion, both John McCain
and Colin Powell pissed away any chance of ever becoming President, and more importantly, the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces. You can read it and weep, here. How could these to ex flag officers be so blind to the electorate and why?

It has been just a few weeks since the methods used by the White House and the British MI-6 stopped an attempt to bring down at least 10 American airplanes bound for the U.S. from Great Britain.

The President has asked for the Congress to approve his methods, which has kept us safe, so no harm can be done on our CIA operatives who are trying to protect America and the west from the most savage and brutal enemies we have ever faced.

Why? I do not know the answer to this question, but I do know that they do not have the best interest of our servicemen and women in their hearts when they defy the President over this matter, no matter what they say. Perhaps it is a political ploy or perhaps they like the praise that the liberal media (Who also don't have our servicemen and women's best interest at heart).

I do not know why good men are willing to place our security and safety at risk, but I do know this: They can forget ever getting a vote from me for Commander-In-Chief. They now join the likes of John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, who can never be allowed to be CIC. As a retired United States Air Force Senior Non Commissioned Officer and First Sergeant, I am qualified to decide who will or will not make a good Commander-In-Chief and deem the aformentioned people not worthy.

Update: another post which agrees with me: here. How could these to ex flag officers be so blind to the electorate and why?

RP...

I think you hit mark...

I also think we've 'turned a page' in the War on Terror...

We KNOW our enemy plots and plans to KILL...

We are past 'trying to understand' "WHY" they want to KILL...past the time for 'debate'...

There is NOTHING left to discuss...

And, finally RP...

I don't give a damn "WHY" McCain & Powell & Kennedy & Kerry & Clinton, etc...

I don't care to even hear their opinion concerning the War on Terror...

We are a nation AT WAR...

THEY are WITH US...

Or...THEY are AGAINST US...

There is NOTHING LEFT to DEBATE...

McCain says he will forgo the Presidency for his this vote, I say good who wanted him anyway. When did Geneva ever protect an United States of America soldier anyway. McCain is proof of that. The muslims would not think twice before brutalizing Americans, soldier or not, until these old Senators and Congressmen are kicked out we will continue to be victims of our own suicide.

Sir,

Agreed....

Anon.

That is why this is so laughable, (though it is not funny). No country we have ever been to war against has ever obeyed the Geneva Convention.

I certainly don't expect terrorists to.

What a stupid comment. Any American 18 years or older is "qualified" (whatever the hell that means) to decided who will make a good commander in chief.

They can vote, but that doesn't make them qualified to choose. Any braindead stoner kid over the age of 18 can vote.. that's how we got Clinton. Was he a good commander in chief? Based on the conflicts he participated in, i'd say no. Yet, he was still elected.

Are you saying only people who you deem intelligent can vote?

Anon, I really like how you prassed that: "What a stupid comment, any 18 year old is qualified to decide who is commander in chief."

I guess that I have to explain this in simple terms, so you can understand it:

The President is also the CIC. His ability as President does not automatically mean that he is a good CIC. Biil Clinton, Jimmy Carter come to mind.

I believe I know just a little more about what it takes to be the Commander of our Armed Forces than an 18 year old voter, and It appears that I know much more about this than you do!!!

Perhaps but the idea that you are somehow "qualified" to make that decision while someone else is not is plain dumb.

Re-read my post. I did not say no-one else was qualified. What I said was I was qualified to decide who would or would not make a good commander in cheif. The purpose of the post was to name those who would not and could never be allowed to be CIC.

There are lots of folks qualified to decide who would make a good CIC, but everyone of them are either retired military or active duty military.

If you are neither, please leave this kind of decision to those of us who truly are.

Forgiving, letting go--releasing fear and so on can be so difficult and yet so easy if the mind just attends to a little re-training. There are some free subliminal and hypnosis programs for these issues at www.innertalk.com and they helped me.
